Book Review

I know this is a cooking blog, but I just finished the novel, The Painted Girls by Cathy Marie Buchanan, recommended to me by my coworker, Susan Hills.  It is set in Paris 1878 and is the story of the hardships of the van Goethem sisters who are dirt poor and basically orphaned but are striving to make it as ballerinas.  The author kept to many of the facts of their actual lives.  I highly recommend reading it!
