1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
40 saltine crackers
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line jelly roll pan or cookie sheet with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Spread crackers across entire pan in a flat layer. Melt butter and sugar on the stovetop and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, until sugar is completely dissolved (5-6 minutes). Pour over crackers and spread evenly. Bake 8-10 minutes until bubbly. Remove from oven and sit 3-5 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over toffee. When they are melty, spread in an even layer. Cool at room temperature or in refrigerator. When hardened, break into desired size chunks.
